Dr. Jiang is Associate Professor of English Languages and Literature at the School of Foreign Languages and Literature, Wuhan University. Prior to joining Wuhan University, he worked as a researcher in University of New South Wales (2017-2020) where he earned his doctoral degree in September 2017. He also earned a MA degree in Applied Linguistics and a Postgraduate Diploma in English Language Teaching from Nanyang Technological University in 2012 and 2011 respectively. His major research interests cover computer assisted language learning, English language teaching, psycholinguistics, educational psychology, and cognitive load theory. Fundamentally, his research studies attempt to answer why and how it is crucial to adjust instructional approaches to learners’ individual differences in the courses of language development and knowledge construction. Dr. Jiang has published his studies in journals such as Computer Assisted Language Learning, Computers & Education, Educational Psychology Review, Educational Psychology, among others. He also serves as a reviewer for a number of peer-reviewed international journals. He welcomes Ph.D candidates who are interested in conducting educational studies from the aspects of applied linguistics and/or educational psychology.
